  • Purpose:
    Practical factory training is a key component of the department’s curriculum. This workshop provides facilities and equipment to support hands-on courses in the mechanical engineering field. The equipment is planned to accommodate practical operation of physical systems at various technical levels, with an emphasis on developing students’ practical skills and technical competencies. The workshop also supports senior capstone projects and the delivery of specialized technical training courses.

  • Regularly Offered Courses:

    • Factory Safety Training – 1 hour/week, Capacity: 10 students
    • Conventional Machine Tool Training – 3 hours/week, Capacity: 10 students
    • CNC Machine Tool Training – 3 hours/week, Capacity: 10 students

Course Objectives:

  1. Develop the ability to interpret engineering drawings or physical components, plan machining processes, operate various machine tools, manufacture parts, and perform assembly work.
  2. Prepare students for careers in machinery manufacturing, including component machining, part fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
  3. Develop programming, operation, and machining skills for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools.
  4. Enable students to become proficient in CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, including process planning, CNC programming, and precision machining based on engineering drawings.
  5. Provide practical training in precision machine tools, including turning, milling, drilling, and assembly techniques.
  6. Strengthen practical knowledge and hands-on experience in CNC machining, CNC lathes, and CNC milling machines.

  • Applications of Conventional Lathes and Milling Machines
  • Applications of CNC Lathes and CNC Milling Machines
  • Applications of Drill Presses, Band Saws, Bench Grinders, Laser Cutting Machines, and TIG Welding Machines

This workshop is for students to learn different kinds of traditional machines and CNC machines, and to train the students to learn from drawing, machining to assembling.

  3. drilling machine, sawing machine, grinder, laser cutting machine, argon welding machine application… etc.
